8-day Discovery of Guilin + Sichuan Tour

Day 1Arrival in Guilin (D)

Arrive in Guilin, be met and transferred to your hotel, then city tours to the Reed Flute Cave.

Day 2 Guilin – Longji - Guilin (B, L)

After breakfast, have a full day excursion to Longsheng for the Rice Terraces and ethnic minority culture. It takes 2.5 hours to get to Longji, where the terraced field is a fascinating scenic spot for tourist. You also have a chance to go close to two minority groups—Zhuang and Yao nationalities and enjoy their colorful traditions and custom. In the late afternoon, drive back to Guilin

Day 3Guilin - Yangshuo (B, L)

Transfer to Zhujiang Pier in the morning. Take a cruise on the Li River and enjoy lunch on board. Arrive at the small town Yangshuo this afternoon. Check in your hotel and free afternoon for your own exploration (perhaps strolling or shopping for some souvenirs along the West Street).

Day 4Yangshuo - Guilin – Chengdu (B, L)

Your guide will rent bikes (city bike or mountain bike) for you. Ride a bicycle to visit the countryside of Yangshuo. Then have a bamboo rafting tour on Yulong River. Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, drive back to Guilin airport and fly to Chengdu.

Day 5Chengdu (B, L)

After breakfast, visit Giant Panda Breeding Research Base to see the lovely creatures, Jinsha Site Museum to know the history of Chengdu, and Jinli Old Street for a walk.

Day 6Chengdu / Leshan / Emeishan (B, L, D)

In the morning head for Leshan city to see the sleeping Buddha from the other side of the Mingjiang River first. Chinese lunch at local restaurant famous for bean curd. Then go to visit Giant Buddha, you will walk on the zig-zaging trail around the Buddha. In the late afternoon drive to Emei Mountain. Overnight at the hotel at mountain foot.

Day 7Emeishan / Chengdu (B, L)

After breakfast, embark local environment bus (1 hour) to the parking lot of Leidongping, and walk about 30 minutes to the cable car station. Take cable car up to the top of Emei Mountain. After lunch at the hotel, take cable car down, and then go to Wannian Buddhist Temple by bus in the mid of mountain. Walk 1 hour down the mountain and arrive at the foot in the late afternoon. Drive back to Chengdu (2 hours).
