10-day Highlights of Guilin and Tibet Tour

Day 1Arrival in Guilin, Guilin - Longji (D)

Arrive in Guilin, be met and transferred to Longsheng for the Rice Terraces and ethnic minority culture. It takes 2.5 hours to get to Longji, where the terraced field is a fascinating scenic spot for tourist. You also have a chance to go close to two minority groups - Zhuang and Yao nationalities and enjoy their colorful traditions and custom. Overnight at the guesthouse of Ping An Village.

Day 2Longji – Guilin (B, L)

Explore the viewing spots to see the stunning rice terrace and old village of Zhuang people. After lunch, drive back to Guilin, visit Reed Flute Cave and stroll around the lake at downtown.

Day 3Guilin - Yangshuo (B, L)

Transfer to Zhujiang Pier in the morning. Take a cruise on the Li River and enjoy lunch on board. Arrive at the small town Yangshuo this afternoon. Check in your hotel and free afternoon for your own exploration (perhaps strolling or shopping for some souvenirs along the West Street).

Day 4Yangshuo – Guilin (B, L)

Your guide will rent bikes (city bike or mountain bike) for you. Ride a bicycle to visit the countryside of Yangshuo. Then have a bamboo rafting tour on Yulong River. Lunch is arranged at a local restaurant. Free time in the afternoon until transferring to Guilin.

Day 5Guilin – Chengdu – Lhasa (B, D)

Transfer to take a morning flight to Chengdu, and connect your flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, our guide will meet you, and transfer to the hotel for acclimatization.

Day 6Lhasa (B, L)

Excursion to the Potala Palace in the morning, after lunch, go to the Sera Monastery to see the Monk debating.

Day 7Lhasa (B, L)

Drive to visit Drak Yerpa, a monastery together with a number of ancient meditation caves that used to house about 300 monks. In the afternoon, visit Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street.

Day 8Lhasa – Shigatse (B, L)

Drive to Shigatse. En route, visit Yamdrok Lake, a beautiful highland lake. Then proceed to Gyantse town and visit Palkor Monastery. Later in the afternoon, arrive in Shigatse.

Day 9Shigatse – Lhasa (B, L)

Visit the famous Tashilumpo Monastery, the seat of successive Panchen Lamas. Then drive back to Lhasa, enjoying the stunning landscape along Yarlung Tsangpo River (Yalu Zangbu River).

Day 10Lhasa departure (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport/train station, head for your next destination. End of service.
