Guilin, one of the most picturesque places in China, has sub-tropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The yearly average temperature is about 19 degree Celsius (67 F).

Generally speaking, in Spring (March, April and May) it  is getting warm with some rainy, misty days. Summer (June, July and August) is hot and humid; autumn (September, October and November) is beautiful as the weather cools off with lots of sunny days, and the dry season starts in this season. In winter (December, Janaury and February), we seldom see snow, but it is usually cloudy and sometimes rainy, which makes it feel colder than it is supposed to be. 

Therefore, the best time to travel in Guilin is from April to early November. Please note, try to avoid the golden week during the National Day holiday (1 October to 7 October), when everywhere in Guilin will be packed with Chinese tourists, absolutely not a good time for you to do the sightseeing.
