High-speed rail line connects Guilin with major Chinese cities
Along the newly-opened Guiyang-Guangzhou high speed railway on December 26, 2014, more bullet trains can take travelers to the scenic city of Guilin in southern China.
This 723-km express line - linking Guizhou, Guangxi and Guangzhou - is China's first high-speed railway running through the country's southwest karst regions. There are 21 stations in seven cities: Guiyang, Duyun, Guilin, Hezhou, Zhaoqing, foshan, and Guangzhou. The travel time between Guiyang and Guangzhou has been shorten from 20 hours to just five hours. For travelers, it will be possible to have morning tea in Guangzhou, lunch in Guilin and dinner in Guiyang.
Now, Guilin has well established itself as the intersection of the Guiyang-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and Hengyang-Liuzhou High-speed Railway. These two rail lines connect Guilin with 12 major Chinese Cities, that is, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Guizhou, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, and Jinan.
